A BLENDED SOLUTION
The Blox Zone is a highly versatile programme for the home and preschools, primary schools and libraries.
The product consists of high quality blocks and print resources designed for multiple-purpose learning that engages children. As a blended solution, a whole range of digital resources complement the tactile, kinaesthetic blocks; including hundreds of games, activities and discovery projects, video, audio and vocabulary designed for PC, Tablets and Mobile usage.
The Blox Zone can be used to introduce children to languages, literacy and STEM/STEAM subject-matter.
The philosophy behind the solution was to create the most flexible resource available to young children while introducing them to a variety of core subject-matter – cross-curricular – boosting creativity – problem-solving – and doing so in an environment that encourages both teamwork and self-directed learning.
With our first product children can learn a language with our curriculum fully aligned and correlated to EU Standards. Available now to families and schools are hundreds of fun games, activities and print resources. The image to the right is taken from our popular game called, ‘Dinosaur Footprints’, where utilising the blackboard side of the blocks, students use the language learnt to make it back to their dinosaur nest and protect the precious eggs!
DISCOVERY
We plan to rollout a range of Discovery Projects in history and culture, science and math, language, art and geography. We include teacher notes, student project templates, context-sensitive support videos, and where applicable, simulation. Critically, just enough information to encourage children to set about project work individually or in pairs or groups.
For example, with our Stonehenge project, children get to explore and physically simulate, using our blocks, how Stonehenge was built.
Or, build an aqueduct and as a science experiment, explore how the ancient Roman’s carried fresh water hundreds of miles using gravity!
